1931 He was born in Montevideo, Uruguay
1956-61 He studies at Uruguay’s National School of Fine Arts (Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes)
1958 On an official mission, he makes studies on pre-Hispanic art in Peru and Bolivia
1962 On an official mission he carries out studies in several South American countries
1965 He studies colonial and contemporary art in Brazil
1966 He travels to Europe and to the Middle East
1967 He travels to Mexico and to the United States of America
AWARDS
1963 Acquisition Award at the VII Autumn Hall of Plastic Artists of Uruguay
1965 Grand Award at the VIII Autumn Hall of Plastic Artists of Uruguay
He obtaines by opposition and merit the “Carlos Ma. Herrera” scholarship to study in Europe, granted by the Government of Uruguay
